WHAT SHALL WE DO WITH OUR CROQUET MALLETS IN WINTER?
John Dawson uses his David Barrett Mallet to push snow of the roof of his car (smooth sides, just the right shape and length of handle!). What happens to your Mallet at this time of year? Why not let us know – see this post for suggestions so far – the best use will be announced at the Spring Club Conference on 4th March, there could be a great prize for the winner!
Email your entries to MalletCompetition.
WHY NOT REWARD SOMEONE IN YOUR CLUB?
Applications are now invited from clubs for the 2017 Coach of the Year Award and Lifetime Achievement Award – will your club be proposing anyone? You can read the details here.
LOOKING AHEAD TO THE 2018 LEAGUES:
Planning has already started for the 2018 Federation Leagues. Club Secretaries should have received 2018 League Entry Forms and the 2018 Draft League Rules. Remember the deadline for League entries is 31st December 2017! You can read more here
CATCH UP WITH SOME READING:
At the Federation Annual General Meeting in November it was decided to abandon the hosting practice of home teams providing a luncheon for away team players in league matches which will now be played on a self catering basis.
