The original schedule was discarded, after discussion with the players and the decision made to resolve matters within a single day – to avoid the forecasted ‘Extreme Heat’ event and the UK’s declared first ‘Red National Heat Emergency’.
And so to the play in the baking 27oC heat, Single all-play-all block to sort out full seeding order for KO title race. Semi-finals were Bo3, but both only needed first two games to allow progression.
However the final & fight for the other two Ascot point places both required all three games allowed to resolve.
