It is with deep regret, Fylde Croquet Club have announced the sudden passing of their President, Martin Bradshaw.
Martin was a Founder member of Fylde Croquet Club when it was formed in 1986. He served as Match Captain from 1987 (first person in the role) to 1996, qualifying as a Coach and was instrumental in the Club playing competitively both within the Club and in the North West Federation Leagues and competitions.
He was Club Chairman from 2009 to 2018 and was then appointed as the Club’s first President.
Martin was always active in Club affairs and it was an important part of his life. He was a top player and also well known across many Clubs in the North West.
Martin was a true gentleman, known for his dedication, great sense of humour and exceptional skill in playing croquet. He was also active in his local community at Lytham and will be sadly missed by Fylde CC and his many friends and neighbours.
Our condolences go to his son Tom and family at this very sad time.
