JENNY WILLIAMS WINS PENDLE ADVANCED WEEKEND
The heat, the quick lawns, tight hoops and lavish meals induced lethargy, compelling time limits to be imposed. Several attempted TPs came to grief. Many games ended in 3-ball finishes. The highlight was David Foulser’s 8 turns 26tp victory over Dave Nick in 45 minutes. The knockout event concluded at 8.55 PM. Jenny was awarded the David Openshaw Trophy in a near-empty arena.
