Croquet is hot News since the Government announced the sport is one of eight recommended sporting activities that could be played competitively whilst still maintaining the pandemic safety rules such as safe distancing.
There has been a featured article in The Times and an astonishing increase in sales of croquet equipment from the CA Online Shop and John Lewis.
The message that Croquet is the ideal socially distancing sport has now been taken up by Granada TV who visited Bowdon Croquet Club last Tuesday and filmed the sport in action. John Dawson from Chester CC, representing the Croquet Association, with Federation Secretary David Walters and Bowdon player, Liz Taylor Webb were interviewed.
It is planned to broadcast the piece next week on the evening Granada Reports programme.

We can now allow four players on a court, six people for a coaching session and allow spectators, providing of course all the other advice is followed such as social distancing and cleaning equipment.
