The Federation Festival of Croquet is a fantastic event bringing together as many north west clubs and players as we can fit onto the sprawling green acres of Southport Croquet Club. Spread over a weekend (usually at the end of June) every club is invited to send teams to play in Level Play AC, Handicap AC, Short AC, Handicap GC and Level Play GC. Some clubs enter everything, others just one event.
Whether highly skilled or a beginner, you can get a game. Clubs can change their players between games, even borrow players from other clubs. Up to 100 players per day get involved in this informal and friendly gathering, the food is fantastic, friendships forged and wonderful to see players at all levels mingling, drinking and sharing the joy of Croquet.
This is the Croquet event of the year and one not to be missed, especially when the sun shines on Southports green and pleasant lawns. With a choice of hotels to suit all tastes and budgets, many clubs arrange block bookings. It has been described as possibly the largest gathering of croquet players in the world!
