Pendle knocked out of Secretary’s Shield (21/06/07) by Barbara Dutton

The Secretary’s Shield is a national knock out competition, played between teams who came top in their own leagues last year.

Pendle & Craven’s opposition were a team from Kingston Langley, Wiltshire, who travelled up on Tuesday and stayed locally.

Pendle lost all three games in the morning a doubles and two singles.

In the afternoon John Filsak and Abdul Ahmad won their singles so the final result was a loss to Pendle by 5 to 2.
