CA Conversation on Diversity and Inclusion

18 August 2020 by CA Website

Next CA Club Webinar – A Conversation on Diversity and Inclusion in Croquet – Sat 29th August 9:30am

What is the current situation in our sport – is croquet representative of the communities we live in?

What are the barriers to making croquet more diverse and inclusive?

What should we be doing to promote diversity and inclusivity?

The recent BlackLivesMatter movement in the USA have ignited protests, debates and discussion in the UK, and has led to many organisations (including sporting bodies) reviewing where they are at with diversity and inclusion, and where they want to be.

The CA is committed to championing diversity and inclusivity beyond our existing Equality Policy, and are working on an action plan in this space to be unveiled over the winter.

This webinar is an initial conversation with clubs on this broad topic. We want to use this session to:

  • have an open discussion about diversity and inclusivity in croquet,
  • hear from clubs and individuals who are already engaging with their local communities,
  • provide a forum for clubs to to share successes and failures in this space,
  • inspire clubs to start conversations within their own membership.

Details: Saturday 29th August 2020, 9:30-11:00am.

Please sign up on Eventbrite by noon (BST) on Thursday 27th August to reserve your place.

The webinar will be held on Zoom and broadcast live on YouTube. Meeting details (how to join the webinar) will be shared with registered attendees on Friday 28th August.
